YourMD Online provides telehealth services through our affiliated United Medical Group network of licensed healthcare providers. These terms govern your use of our platform and medical services.
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using YourMD Online services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and YourMD Online, a United Medical Group affiliated telehealth platform.
Medical Services and Limitations
Telehealth Services Provided
- Remote medical consultations via audio or video
- Medical history review and symptom assessment
- Prescription services where appropriate
- Health education and wellness guidance
- Referrals to specialists when necessary
YourMD Online is NOT suitable for medical emergencies. For emergency situations, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room immediately.
Services We Cannot Provide
- Emergency medical care
- Physical examinations requiring in-person assessment
- Controlled substance prescriptions (DEA Schedule II-V in most cases)
- Diagnostic imaging or laboratory tests
- Surgical procedures or interventions
Pricing and Payment Terms
Payment and Billing
- Payment is due at the time of service
- We accept major credit cards, HSA, and FSA payments
- Insurance billing available where applicable
- Refunds processed according to our refund policy
- Late payment fees may apply to outstanding balances
User Responsibilities
Account and Information Accuracy
- Provide accurate and complete medical history
- Keep your account information current and secure
- Inform providers of all current medications and allergies
- Follow prescribed treatment plans and recommendations
- Report any adverse reactions or complications immediately
Platform Usage
- Use services only for lawful purposes
- Maintain confidentiality of your login credentials
- Respect healthcare providers and staff
- Attend scheduled appointments or cancel with appropriate notice
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
Professional Standards and Licensing
Provider Qualifications
- Licensed physicians and healthcare professionals
- Board certification where applicable
- Current malpractice insurance
- Ongoing medical education requirements
- Regular quality assurance reviews
Disclaimers and Limitations
Medical Disclaimers
No Guarantee of Outcomes: Medical treatment results cannot be guaranteed. YourMD Online providers will use their professional judgment, but outcomes may vary.
- Telehealth has inherent limitations compared to in-person care
- Technical issues may occasionally affect service quality
- Some conditions require in-person evaluation
- Laboratory tests and imaging cannot be performed remotely
- Provider recommendations are based on information you provide
Limitation of Liability
YourMD Online's liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of our services.
Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use YourMD Online for:
- Fraudulent or illegal activities
- Obtaining controlled substances inappropriately
- Harassment of healthcare providers or staff
- Sharing login credentials with others
- Reverse engineering or tampering with our platform
- Violating any applicable laws or regulations
Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement at any time:
- You may: Stop using our services and close your account
- We may: Suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms
- Effect: Outstanding obligations survive termination
- Data: Medical records retained per legal requirements
Dispute Resolution
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the state where United Medical Group is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Resolution Process
- Initial contact with customer service for informal resolution
- Mediation through agreed-upon neutral third party
- Binding arbitration if mediation fails
- Class action waiver (individual claims only)
